Send us your artwork for appraisal

A written expert appraisal is required for inclusion in the auction — and its cost typically runs into thousands of crowns. At Weinberg, we cover these costs as part of our care for the artwork. You pay nothing upfront.

Weinberg's degressive model sets our terms apart from the vast majority of Czech auction houses, where sellers pay a fixed commission regardless of the artwork's value. With us, your yield grows with the value of the piece.
How the selling process works
Send us photographs
Photograph the artwork (front, back, signature detail, overall condition) and send the images along with basic details — artist, title, dimensions including the frame.

Free consultation
Our collaborating curators will thoroughly assess the artwork, verify its authenticity and determine its market potential. They will place it into both an artistic and investment context. We typically respond within 48 hours.

Agreement and preparation
We will review the sales details together and conclude a contract. We will set the starting price as well as an optional minimum selling price — nothing happens without your consent.
The artwork will be professionally documented, photographed and included in the auction catalogue. Before the auction, it will be exhibited in our gallery and supported by targeted marketing.
Payment
After the auction, the buyer has 14 days to pay. Once we receive payment, we promptly transfer your share — typically within 21 days of the auction date.
We will notify you of the auction result by phone or email on the same evening — you do not need to follow the results yourself.
