About the artist:
Viktor Frešo is a prominent figure in contemporary Central European art, known for his playful, ironic and often provocative work. His works reflect on issues of identity, ego and social stereotypes. About the work:
The sculpture Duet from 2024 represents the artist's typical minimalist, yet distinctive approach to form and space. A pair of subtle, vertically oriented figurative elements, made of the modern material filament, refers to communication, symbiosis and dialogue between two entities. The work works with elementary shapes, whose mutual proximity and difference play out subtle tensions and questions about the relationship between the individual and the other.
